Steak-umm® Sloppy Joes

  • 15 oz. pkg. Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • 15.5 oz. can sloppy joe sauce
  • 1 pkg. hamburger buns

Cook steaks as directed on package. Add sloppy joe sauce; simmer for 5 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.

Steak-umm® Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

  • 2-3 Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • Sliced onion
  • Sliced peppers

In skillet, cook sliced onion and peppers in 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil over medium heat until tender. Set aside. Cook steaks as directed on package. Place cooked steak in a steak roll. Add onion and peppers. Top with cheese and your favorite steak sauce, if desired.

Tip: A Steak-umm® cheesesteak is just as good reheated! Simply seal the cheesesteak mixture (not the roll) in a microwave-safe container, take it to work, etc., and microwave until warm. Serve the warmed mixture on bread, in a roll or a salad, or on its own. Enjoy!

Steak-umm® Scramble

  • 15 oz. pkg. Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • Cooked potatoes
  • Cooked onions
  • Cooked peppers
  • Eggs

For each sliced steak, cook as directed on package, adding vegetable additions as desired. Stir in 2 beaten eggs and cook until done. Season as desired.

Steak-umm® Fried Rice

  • 15 oz. pkg. Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. canola oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

In skillet or wok, cook green onions, garlic and ginger over medium heat for 1 minute. Add steaks; cook as directed on package. Stir in rice and soy sauce; mix well. Heat through.

Steak-umm® Stir Fry

  • 15 oz. pkg. Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 yellow summer squash, sliced
  • 1 zucchini, sliced 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced red pepper
  • 1 cup finely sliced red and green cabbage

Cut frozen steaks into 1-inch strips. Cook as directed on package; set aside. In same skillet in oil, stir fry vegetables until just tender crisp.Return steaks to skillet with vegetables; heat through.

Serve with your favorite stir-fry sauce over cooked rice if desired.

Steak-umm® Shepherd’s Pie

  • 8-12 Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 6 oz. jar of sliced mushrooms (drained)
  • 1 lb. bag frozen corn, thawed
  • 1 pkg. instant mashed potatoes cheese (4 servings)
  • 10.5 oz. can beef gravy
  • 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese (grated)

Preheat oven to 425°F. In nonstick pan, cook steaks as directed on package along with onion, chopping steak with utensil as you cook; add mushrooms and stir until combined.

Spoon steak mixture into a casserole dish coated with cooking spray. Top with corn, and spread gravy to cover.

Prepare mashed potatoes as directed and spread on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

4-6 servings

Steak-umm®-Style Yoshinoya Beef Bowls

  • 9 oz. pkg. Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic (jarred or fresh)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Soy sauce

Cut steaks into strips; cook as directed on package. Set aside. Cook onion in same skillet, stir in garlic.

Return steak strips to the pan; stir until all ingredients are mixed. Spoon over cooked rice and add soy sauce (to taste). Enjoy!

Steak-umm® American Chop Suey

  • 8 Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks
  • 8 oz. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 2 14 oz. cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

In a nonstick pan, cook steaks as directed on package, chopping steak with edge of a utensil as you cook. Set aside to drain on a plate covered with paper towels.

Sauté onion and green pepper in oil until tender. Add stewed tomatoes, basil, oregano, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Add steaks and macaroni, stirring well to mix. Heat through. Serve with cornbread and a fresh tossed salad.

Steak-umm® Stroganoff

  • 31.5 oz. pkg. Steak-umm® Sliced Steaks (cut into 1" x 2-1/2" pieces)
  • 4 Tbsp. olive oil or 4 Tbsp. butter or 4 Tbsp. soft margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup low fat yogurt
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare steaks and vegetables. Heat 2 Tbsp. oil/butter/margarine in skillet. Sauté onion until transparent; set aside.

Add remaining 2 Tbsp. oil/butter/margarine to skillet. Sauté mushrooms for 3 minutes. Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Whisk yogurt with lemon juice and add to the mushrooms. Heat, do not boil. Add beef strips and onion to the skillet. Heat through and serve over noodles or rice.

White Chicken Chili

  • 4 frozen Steak-umm® Chicken Breast Sandwich Steaks
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil (or any cooking oil)
  • 1 small onion, diced (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 cans (15.5 oz. each) pinto or cannellini beans
  • Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • Diced tomato

Cook Steak-umm® Chicken Breast Sandwich Steaks as directed on package. Cut in strips and set aside. Add olive oil to the same pan and sauté onion until translucent and soft.

In pan, blend soup, sautéed onions and seasonings. Stir in beans, cook until heated through. Return chicken to bean mixture. Serve topped with cheese and tomato.

Breakfast Burrito

  • 2 frozen Steak-umm® Chicken Breast Sandwich Steaks
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • Sliced green onions
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • Prepared salsa

Cook Steak-umm® Chicken Breast Sandwich Steaks as directed on package. Cut in strips and set aside. In same skillet, cook and stir eggs until firm and creamy, about 3 minutes. Combine Steak-umm® steaks, eggs and onions.

Serve on flour tortillas, roll up and top with salsa.

Chicken Broccoli Pizza

  • 1 prebaked 12-inch pizza crust
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/3 cup prepared pizza sauce
  • 3 frozen Steak-umm® Chicken Breast Sandwich Steaks, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup sliced red pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 425° F. Place crust on baking sheet and brush with oil. Spread sauce over crust. Top with Steak-umm® chicken strips, broccoli, peppers and cheese.

Bake about 10 minutes, until chicken is cooked and cheese is melted.
